Device bought is not working after charging. It only works while connected to the electricity. Once disconnected, it does not work I kindly need to exchange it to another one that works please

Since day one, it did not work without being connected to the electricity all the time. Once it is fully charged and off the electricity, it does not work at all. I need your kind assistance in exchanging it to a one that is working properly.
