In 2011, Zain Jordan established a dedicated Corporate Entrepreneurship Responsibility (CER) Department within the company after launching several pioneering entrepreneurship programs and initiatives over the years, the most prominent being the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC), which was officially launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah on 28 June 2013 at Abdali in the center of the capital Amman.
ZINC serves as a key enabler of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Jordan, bringing together entrepreneurs, mentors, trainers, and all stakeholders in one space to work towards a shared goal: building a comprehensive and thriving entrepreneurship environment.
The platform focuses on capacity-building for young entrepreneurs, supporting innovations, and helping startups grow and scale their businesses. ZINC provides incubation startups with the opportunity to identify potential products and differentiate their products in competitive markets, thereby contributing to sustainable business development and creating tangible businesses.
It also plays a crucial role in establishing new startups and creating job opportunities by enabling entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into tangible businesses.
Today, ZINC operates across 9 branches throughout the country, expanding beyond its flagship location due to its strong impact on young entrepreneurs. ZINC has partnered with the Hashemite University and in 2019 with Mutah University and Al-Balqa Applied University. In 2020, ZINC launched the Innovation and Development Center at the Public Security Directorate, and in 2025, it added two new branches in Aqaba. The main branch remains at the King Hussein Business Park.
